Hartford: American Publishing Company. W. E. Bliss & Co., Toldeo, Ohio. 1874. Bound in three-quarter morocco with marbled boards and endpapers. 1st Edition, mixed state with regard to points presented in BAL. Escholl Sellers, not Beriah Sellers, so 1st state. On page xvi the last illustration listed is 212, 2nd state. On page 246 Hallelujah does not have a comma afterward, and the h is damaged, so 1st state. Moderate to heavy wear at corners and along top and bottom edges. Chipping to leather at top of spine. Leather is cracked on hinge at bottom front, and top and bottom back. Binding remains quite solid. Text block is clean. Fold-out map at page 247 is present, but loose, as it is jaggedly torn in two near the point of connection to the page. Overall Good+ to Very Good. A sound copy in the less common three-quarter morocco, and with Escholl Sellers.
