The Author’s Club 1898 on the title page. On the spine, Manual of the Author’s Club 1898. Contains their Constitution, list of the founders, list of the members, and a bibliogrpahy (listing of the works) of each of the members. 250 copies printed at the De Vinne Press. Samuel L. Clemens is listed as a member since 1885 and is included the bibliography section. The club was founded in 1882.

Overall sound and in good plus to very good condition. Signature that includes pages 5 -12 is loose at the bottom and can be pulled forward about 1/2″. It is attached at the top and fits nicely into place. Page 15/16 has a vertical crease near the outer edge with closed tears at top and bottom. Authors Club Library bookplate on front pastedown.
