The Gilded Age
Author: Mark Twain
Hartford American Publishing Company 1874. Single imprint. Later state of all BAL points except for having no comma after Hallelujah on page 246. Ads at back are included, and “truex inde” has been corrected to true index.
This book is in a library binding. No endpapers, but frontis through ads are present. Fold-out map at page 247 is missing. Text block in overall very good, clean condition. First three pages have some damage along the top edge, and on pages 467 through 480, the corner tips have been creased. Some light scattered foxing. It is an ex-library book and is bound in a library binding, but other library markings are minimal – bookplate on front pastedown, checkout-return plate on back of rear flypage, and library nameplate on rear pastedown. Very solidly bound.
