Overall very good. Firm binding, square, clean boeards with a scuff to the center part of the elephant. Stamp on front pastedown, “Presented To Masonic Library By Geo. French Shelton Oct. 9, 1923. Paper at front hinge shows about an inch of crack at top and bottom, but holding well. In the back of the book between the last two free endpapers, it looks as though something may have been glued in at one time because along the gutter, there is some residue. It is not sticky, but visible. Internally it is clean. The tissue guard is intact and in nice condition. At pages 254 – 255 there are some spotted stains (perhaps coffee) mostly in the margin area. The stains are faintly visible on the versos of the pages. Overall the book presents nicely.
