Black and white photograph of R. N. Burnham with sculpture of Mark Twain from Keystone View Co. ca. June 15, 1925. Typed note on back of photo states:
“A statue of Mark Twain, at the age of 29 years, when he was mining in Nevada, is the memorial to America’s greatest humorist which will be placed in Reno, on the site of the Comstock Lode. The bronze figure, costing $5000, is the creation of R. N. Burnham of Berkeley, Calif., and the money will be raised by popular subscription. Reno was Twain’s old stomping ground.”
There is a light crease across the top of the photo, about 1/4″ above the sculptor’s head.
